The Traveler....I do believe she's done :)

I don't think I can do anything more on this doll....she's officially done!!!

I opted not to make the baby this time as I didn't think it suited this doll. I changed the baby carrier into a knapsack of sorts.

I'm not off the hook for the baby though. I still have to make it as my granddaughter saw the pictures and she keeps asking about The Baby....lol. She's only 3 1/2 but she has a very good memory.

Here's some pictures.......

Take care:)

WOW she's fantastic Mary Ann. I like what you did with the hat. Did you age it? Beautiful complimenting colors. I love all the finishing touches, the hair, the staff, the necklace, very well done. I purchased all my items to make the necklace and staff...maybe I'll finish today.

I guess your stuck making that baby for your granddaughter!

She really is wonderful. Thank you for showing her. I find it interesting that dolls take on a life of their own as they are worked on.

Oh my Goodmess! She is absolutely beautiful. You have surpassed yourself this time. I quite agree with you that the baby would not have been right for this doll.

I like her a lot! She has a kind smile :) Great job! Her hat is also nice, loving the lacy lining.
May be you can make a baby traveller doll as soon as your grandaughter asks.

She is lovely, but still... I cannot forget her first appearance with a shawl.

She looks to be a happy traveller ..... which is nice.... my personal opinion is that if you were to add a baby...well, it would totally detract from that.... it wouldn't be the same at all...

I think it was a good choice to leave off the baby for this one. I love the expression and that she's leaning forward as though she's just spotted something magical and going to see what it is.. You must do this again, she's so pretty...

Your Traveler is a beautiful creation...love the colors in her clothing...also the stitching detail. The knapsack is just the thing for a traveler, even though the baby was a sweetie.

I love her. You were so right to add the hair and I LOVE her hat. I know that pictures never really do a piece of art, justice. I can't imagine how gorgeous she'd be in person. Such amazing and wonderful work.
