WIP- Anya and Baba

Just a quick post to let you know what's happening with Anya.

I have finished her torso by adding a bosom to give her a figure. I have also added the hint of a blouse and finished her vest.

The vest has some hand stitching. A simple running stitch that I did in thread that I won in a blog give away from Colour Complements.....really beautiful thread and the variegated colours match her skirt.

The vest is really dark green but in the dull rainy light today it's grey looking:(
Here it is pinned to Anya. I have made the arms but I haven't attached them as yet.

Getting there slowly:)

Today I'm going to work on her coat which I have been looking forward to.....lots of hand stitching and beading:)  I'll post some pictures very soon.

Take care.

Your vest is beautiful Mary Ann. It's good to see your coming along. I was surprised to see that there are 31 ladies taking the class and only a handful of us sharing our photos. Have fun with the coat. (PS I'm unable to read any of your attached messages in the classroom)

Love your dark green color...the vest looks so soft.

Love that waistcoat! Your embroidery is very effective against that background the the variegated thread is just perfect for the colours of the skirt.
