WIP.................................

I have done a bit more work on "Tania" but I still have quite a lot to do...........she's pinned together here and there at the moment.

For some reason I don't like this doll....crazy eh? She hasn't really inspired me at all. I will finish her and it will be interesting to see how she turns out in the end.

I'm joining up today with The Needle & Thread Network.....come over and see the work of some very talented Canadians.

Take care:)

I love the colors you've used on her. I bet once she's all put together you'll like her better. I think I can't wait to see her all finished. Do you usually give your dolls away, sell them or do you keep them?

HAHA! I don't know what I was typing there when I said.."I think I can't wait to see her..." I caught myself in mid thought! I'm really excited to see her finished!

I think it is true that we don't always luv what we make. I also think that is okay.

She looks fine so far.
I love her costume, and her shoes are amazing!!
But maybe it's her way of sitting! I know she's designed this way but personally I prefer a different pose. Still I believe that she will look great when you are done!

Well, I sure think she's beautiful! I know the feeling though. Your feelings might change when she's finished.

I think we all sometimes have doubts when we have been working with something for awhile! I am sure when you finish her and take a step back, you will love her again!
I love the colors!

I can't tell whether or not I like her - she has no head. Hope you finish her soon.

I like her too, but understand that you can't always love everything. Maybe when she has her head she will be more appealing! :-)

It happens to all of us, we can't love everything all the time! But after she is all finished, I hope you are happy with her! Do you sell all your dolls? Just wondering, there is so much detail and time that goes into them, that is very obvious.

First thought that popped into my head on seeing your picture: an accurate portrait of me when I've lost my head. Not true, really, I have less bust, lol.
She'll be lovely when she is finished.

Maybe once her costuming is done you will like her. It happens sometime that what you don't like in the beginning stages ends up inspiring you to do wonderful things with it. Love her shoes.

Hi Mary Ann, thanks for your nice comment on my TAST post on the EAC blog. :)

Even being headless, Tania looks absolutely lovely! Her skirt, bodice, belt and slippers look wonderful. It's hard to work on a project when you're not really into it but hopefully she'll grow on you.

I wonder if the head will make you feel better about her? Making a doll you can't wait to see complete is a joy, but a doll you don't feel inspired by can be just a chore to sew. The shoes are just exquisite, though. Maybe it is the position she's sitting in?

You have to finish it now, though. Look at all these people who want to see it done

No pressure, lol!

Well perhaps she will come to life a little more once she gets her head. LOL! Her dress is cute!

I'm sure most doll makers have come to the same spot that you are at right now. I know I have.

I belive dolls come to life when the face is painted. Your doll is fine so far. I'm sure when the head is finished and sewn on she will look fabulous.

I agree Mary Ann, give her a face, and she'll transform! You might even like her then.
Thanks for kind comment on my blog.

I think she will turn out just fine. Keep going sometimes we are hard on ourselves but if we keep going it finally does all come together beautifully.
