WOYWW 133....

Wow......Wednesday rolls around very fast doesn't it? So, this is my second post and I was a bit more prepared this time:)

I finished Russell Crowe. Here he is...
Source: Sean Tate

And, this was my desk on Monday night........I know not Wednesday but I wanted to show you that I'm not always neat and tidy..........

Yesterday I went to Michael's and bought a few goodies. Some more fun fur yarn...

The light is the pits to take pictures today. It's raining again.

Some Rit dye, some really pretty snowflake gems (on sale) and some Steampunk sprocket gears. Couldn't resist those sprockets...LOL

The Rit dye is for dying some off white fabric I have a ton of to get a flesh colour for dolls I want to make. I'm really trying to use up my stash of fabric. That's one of my New Year resolutions.

My next project is to finish a doll that I had started a while back. I'll let you know how I get on with it next Wednesday:)

For more more desks to look at go here...The Stamping Ground.

And, I want to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas!!!!

Take care:)

I use cold tea to colour material for doll making though most of my dolls are raggedy annies so need an aged look. That fun fur yarn looks inviting. Wish we had a 'Michaels' store here in UK. Wasiting with baited breath to see your latest doll. All this talk of dolls is giving me withdrawal symtoms. I had a pattern out to do this time last year and didn't so must get it out again and make her up. Have a lovely Christmas and a Crafty New Year. Hugs Mrs A.
p.s. tried three time to post this. The last two flew off into cyber space so hope 3rd time lucky.

Hello Mrs.A.

I don't know what's happening today with Blogger but I'm having a hard time leaving comments too. I may just give up until tomorrow. Michael's is a US store that came into Canada and wiped out my favourite craft store. They are very expensive but they do have very neat stuff.

I ADORE Russell Crowe - what a handsome dude! I showed his picture to Mr LLJ who thought he was fantastic too! And I love steampunk too, those sprockets are so satisfying. Why do I love gears so much? Have you ever seen the animated film Robots - one of the best in my opinion. Anyhow, I love the black and white animations of gears etc during the end credits... I am beginning to sound like a proper weirdo here!!! I'm quite a nice, normal person - honest :)
Anyhow, I hope you have a wonderful Christmas and New Year..
Hugs, LLJ #43 xx
PS Have you ever read any of Terry Pratchett's novels? He has a character called Quoth the Raven - maybe a future compadre for Russell??

Mary Ann said...

Thank you very much:) I haven't read any Terri Pratchett yet but there are fanatical fans in my household. We have all the books so I will read them one day. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with the sprockets but it will be Steampunk. If you like Steampunk you should click on the button on my side bar...Steam Tea. They just started as a new blog. Lots of fun:)

Oh I love Russel Crowe! He's fabulous! What a great job :) My mother was a cloth dollmaker when I was growing up so I have a fondness for such things. Merry Christmas! Tango #84 (ps. love the steampunk cogs too!)

I can't believe Russell! He is fabulous! I remember years ago I had a friend who's mom used to use tea bags to die anything white that had lost it's real white colour. Bra's was something she used to do all the time and I remember we used to giggle - we were in our early teens but this is something I would remember for years ....and it works!!!!
